Ed Dwyer

PRESIDENT & MANAGING PARTNER

Ed Dwyer, President and Managing Partner of Vigeo Alliance, LLC, is an experienced 32-year banker with a passion for leadership development that drove success in a variety of roles within a top-five national bank. He has been a director of leadership at a national banking school for 20 years as well as a consultant for a national banking trade in Washington, DC and a risk and compliance consultant with an international firm based in DC.

Ed retired as Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for Community Banking and Branch Delivery at U.S. Bank in 2017. As CRO, he was responsible for all aspects of risk within the first-line-of-defense, which was comprised of retail, commercial, wealth and payments businesses across 25 states. Strong leadership was critical during this four-year period as the
regulatory environment over Compliance, AML/BSA, Sales Practices,  Operational Risk, Fiduciary Rules and more was extremely intense and critical to the success of the organization overall. During his time as CRO, Ed chaired the Risk Committee at the Consumer Bankers Association in Washington, DC and lead the efforts of a consortium of risk professionals from banks across the US.

Prior to CRO, Ed was very much a driver of revenue for the bank since joining U.S. Bank in 1990 as a Commercial Loan Officer. He served as Regional President for a Community Bank region in Ohio and then as a multi-state Division Manager overseeing markets throughout Ohio and Indiana which entailed an expansive branch network, commercial banking teams, and wealth management offices. Ed moved on to a company-wide role as Commercial Sales Manager for all aspects of commercial revenue in Community Banking which leveraged his skills of developing strategic plans and providing leadership and support to a substantial number of teams across 25 states. During this time, Ed served as Onsite CEO for a major failed bank acquisition in California during the financial crisis.

While working on a successful career as a banker, Ed was Director of LeaderSim at Pacific Coast Banking School since graduating in 1997 through 2017 while serving on the board for eleven years. This experience of leading a team of bankers and being a faculty member in the classroom of leadership has framed my philosophy on leadership that drives what we do at Vigeo Alliance today.
